Master Bath Renovation
Bath Renovation

This 1990’s builder-grade bathroom served this couple well for many years. But they had hopes of a renovation that would allow their Master Bath to flow from their Master Bedroom with a bit more ease. They had beautiful furnishings in rich mahogany and walnut, and wanted to unify the Master Suite experience by transforming their white-on-white bath into a mixture of textural stone, rich woods, and colorful accent furnishings.

The design concept was to simplify the cabinetry by creating two formal mahogany vanity chests flanking the entry door. Separately, a third cabinet piece was designed as full-height cabinets, wall-to-wall, adjacent to her vanity. This wall of cabinets would also discretely conceal her makeup vanity behind pocket doors.

The finishes feature rough-cut, multi-sized Botticino floors and Botticino marble vanity tops and bath deck, and cream walls and interior trim. Separately, a mahogany paneled apron was integrated into the bath design to provide a contrast with the surrounding stone. The backdrop for the bath features a simply detailed stained-glass window, offering privacy and concealing the view to the neighboring property.
