Peachtree Battle Farm House
Renovation / Addition
Architectural Design / Interior Design

Ever since the homeowners purchased this late - 1920's farmhouse fourteen years ago, they envisioned remodeling. This year their long-awaited dream came to fruition. the project goals were to update the public areas of the property including updating the Living areas, Kitchen, and secondary Baths, adding a new Screened Porch, and constructing a new three-car Garage. The exterior was to undergo a transformation as well, with cosmetic attention to the front Porch including upgrading the entry millwork, adding new French doors, and reinventing the entry doors.

An outdated addition was demolished at the rear of the property to make way for the new Greatroom, Dining Room, and Screened Porch. The new layout is open and conducive to entertaining and nightly home-cooked family meals. The new interior features taller tongue and groove wood ceilings with rustic grayed cedar beams, and casual heated black slate floors that run continuous through the Screened Porch. The palette, both inside and out, is a monochromatic palette of tones of gray, creams, and wood-tone browns. The style is a mixture of old and new, expressed with elegant simplicity.
