Master Bath Renovation
Bath Renovation
This couple wanted to update their white-on-white mid 1990’s Master Bath. They liked the symmetrical layout, with his / her vanities flanking the shower, and the shower location across from the bath. Their desire was to enlarge the shower, incorporate new finishes and fixtures, and create a more contemporary look overall.
The new design enlarges the existing shower by adding depth, and capturing the vanities at the sides of the shower. The vanities and custom mirrors are cherry, with shaker panels, offering a rich contrast to the neutral porcelain tile while maintaining a clean look.
The fireplace wall and bath were conceived as the primary features. The bath front acts as a recessed towel storage cabinet, and the fireplace wall is treated with a cherry wood panel, with contemporary detailing. The fireplace tile is a glass mosaic that offers a rich texture against the cherry wood. This tile is repeated in the niche at the shower. The vanity tops and bath deck are quartz, and are in a similar palette to the porcelain tile.
